In this episode, I interview Simon McIntyre, the overseer of the C3 Church regional areas. Simon shares about his faith journey, ministry experience, and his latest book, "Lessons in the Wilderness," which explores the leadership lessons from the life of Joshua.
We discuss the contrast between the business model of leadership and the Biblical model, emphasising the importance of discipleship and spiritual formation in the church. Simon highlights three defining elements from Joshua's leadership: faith in what God says, serving faithfully, and cultivating a deep relationship with God's presence through prayer and Scripture.
We also touch on the dangers of focusing solely on giftedness and the need for restoration based on character and the church's health.
